PSB CAFE – HEALTHY AND RELAXING

PSB CAFEPSB Cafe in Sheridan college has charm of its own.

Coffee has been around for a while and has a long history of being calming and stress-relieving. There are various variations of brewed and beaten coffee available in PSB cafe  nowadays with chosen additions. Coffee enthusiasts and foodies can be found anywhere, so we took advantage of the chance and opened a PSB café to meet the demands of the students for snacks and coffee drinks. Additionally, it helps students unwind and enjoy their hectic, routine lives while also satisfying unexpected hunger. Make your day as rapidly as you can by adding the snacks. . There are many shops opened in and around the location, but ours is the one which has USP of its own like for example- serving the best coffee in town, providing good quality and taking note of the fresh products.

  1. A HEAVEN FOR STUDENTS

    : One can unwind in this lovely aesthetically cafe while sitting down because the space has a certain vibe. The surroundings are peaceful, and when you’re with pals, the scene is enhanced. It might happen more as a result of your presence. The thought of drinking coffee while researching and talking is definitely worthwhile. With the stress of studying gone, one can enjoy themselves without feeling under so much strain. The day is made easier, and it moves along without any bumps. The magnetic interiors are merely an added feature that helps to create a positive and energising atmosphere.

 

CATERING TO HEALTH-CONSCIOUS INDIVIDUALS: Coffee delves into the atmosphere that it provides to the college students and makes it a coffee hub. Students take the notes manually and while doing the task; and having coffee makes everything easier. One visits it again and again just for the sake of comfort and love it renders.

TAKE AS YOU GO PASTA AT SHERIDAN

Easy, Quick and Portable

Students always get flustered on what to eat because they either have such a short time to eat whether it’s because of their break or the time they have left till class. Also, they get mad when there are barely any options of a proper meal that is easy to walk around in campus with. Other than a fruit cup, they feel like other options either slide out or it’s just a hassle to hold.
The new Sheridan Pasta bar helps with that problem though. They have noticed how it could hard when having a meal that you either want to eat late and put it in your bag or want to take to a destination to eat and having it either slip out or hard to hold. The pasta box is made so that it is easier to hold while holding other things or it could fit into your bag easily. The box is made small and portable, it also ensures that your pasta stays fresh so when you are walking from one end of the campus to another, it won’t be weird in taste.
The portable boxes are compostable and fluorine free. This means that less chemicals will be on your food and is good for the environment when throwing away. The box is a paper brown box that comes with a green seal, making sure to let you all know that it’s made with proper environmentally friendly materials. When having any other to-go box like Styrofoam or plastic, they release chemicals into your food which is bad for you. Also, when disposing these boxes, they take more time to decompose which is hurtful for the environment. Styrofoam boxes are also known for causing mold, so us using paper boxes ensures that we are not only keeping the environment safe, but our students who eat at our place, safe as well. (Emma Zang-Schwartz, M., 2019) It also comes with a spork holder on the box so it’s easier to place it whenever not in use or carry around. It’s hard to carry a box and then have the utensil linger around and make sure it doesn’t fall or you lose it. It’s a pocket on the side of the box (made with the same recycled material) and you place it in there to secure it and make sure it doesn’t fall out.

The seal on these boxes are ensured that it won’t leak anything from your pasta when walking around or putting it in your bag. There is a seal (a sticker or you could say) placed on the top of the tabs connecting when given the pasta freshly made. Once you have opened it yourself and have some leftovers, you could interlock the tabs back together and it would be easy to transport and not drop. We make sure it also doesn’t leak through the packaging ruining any surroundings whether it’s the furniture or your tech.

When getting the pasta from our Pasta bar in the Café, we make sure the process is quick and easy to do. You come in, take whatever options you seem attracted to you and then go on to the counter and check out. Students are always in a rush so this ensures that you can walk in and walk out easily and take as you go somewhere. The time in total shouldn’t take more than approx. 5 minutes (it also depends on how long you choose a specific pasta you want to have).

We rush the process, so you don’t have to.

PSB café is opening on HMC and Davis campus, and is introducing Sheridan’s first Italian Pasta Bar! Healthy food options at Sheridan HMC and Davis can be hard to find. Our pasta bar will be a mix n’ match style eatery with dine-in and take-out options! Customers choose their own meal; you choose your size, pasta type, sauce, meat and/or vegetables. For the health-conscious consumer, we understand the need for not just healthy food but for a variety of choices. Making healthier choices doesn’t mean you need to skimp on flavor.

With multiple sizes, an assortment of ingredients, and a cozy cafe atmosphere our quick and quality service could make us your favorite on-campus go to!

We offer a variety of healthy options to fit any dietary need, from gluten free alternatives, to rice pasta and zucchini noodles. We’ve got something for everyone! With distributors frequently shipping fresh, high quality ingredients to our café, we guarantee healthy and delicious meals every time! Additionally, with small to large portion sizes, to go options and dining in, the pasta bar caters to every need.

Students don’t always have time or transportation to leave campus for food. Breaks in between classes are short! Students have been asking for healthy food options at Sheridan HMC and Davis campuses. We offer fast service that doesn’t take away from the quality of your meal.  Our on-campus location makes it convenient for part-time and full-time students who are on the go or looking for a place to park yourself.  Our café includes campus Wi-Fi, so you’re always connected! Likewise, we offer charging stations at tables and bars you can turn our café into your very own study space. Our intimate sit-down space includes 4 tables and 8 bar stools, an ideal area to eat, study or socialize with your peers.

Pasta is integrant part of Italy’s food history. Wherever Italians immigrated they have brought their pasta along, so much so today it can be considered a staple of international cuisine. Unlike other ubiquitous Italian products like pizza and tomato sauce, which have a fairly recent history, pasta may have a much older pedigree, going back hundreds -if not thousands- of years. Unraveling the long and often complex history of this dish we have to look at its origins and some of the myths surrounding it.
