Nortec: Bostich + Fusible “Challenging the notes”

Nortec: Bostich+Fusible

What would the fusion between Techno and Regional Mexican music sound like?

Introduction

During distant 1999, in the vibrant border city of Tijuana – Baja California, where the culture, art, and rhythms of Mexico and the United States collide, a new musical project emerged blending sounds of two Mexican regional music genres (called “Norteño” and “Banda”) with “Techno beats”.

The fusion between the words “Norteño” and “Techno” originated the collective´s name: “Nortec”, which created a sonic mix transcending genres, borders, and continents.

In their early years, all members could use the name this way: “Nortec Collective: + Name of the member”.  Nowadays, only two active members (Ramón Amezcua y Pepe Mogt) created a new brand called “Nortec: Bostich + Fusible” for their future shows and releases.
