Art Exhibition in Toronto: KAWS Family

As spring is about to arrive, many artists will bring their art collections to Toronto so their work can meet its new owner. So if you are an aspiring artist and look for art in everything around you, then I’m going to share with you one of the most well known art exhibitions in North America – KWAS Family.

KWAS is the creation of Brooklyn-based artist Brian Donnelly (1974), who is known for his humorous and insightful artworks. You can visit this exhibition at Signy Eaton Gallery, organised by AGO (Art Gallery of Ontario) until the end of March 2024.

You can gain entry to this exhibit with a minimal fee. And if you are an AGO member, annual pass holder, or youth under 25, then even better because you may be eligible to visit this exhibition for free.

Now let’s talk about the artwork, what was artist’s inspiration is and what this exhibition is all about.

This exhibition is inspired by cartoon characters presented in unusual sizes to emphasize pop art and culture of 60s artists. Through his collection, Brian Donnelly tries to mix popular & elite art and bring it into traditional art spaces for the world.

This exhibition will present over 75 artworks including methods, sketches, paintings, mural art, sculptures, and other product collaborations.
